Nothing crazy special here today just the easiest gameday cinnamon almonds everrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Okay… maybe they are SPECIAL! Special and very appropriately timed for the big Michigan vs Michigan State football game this weekend! At least for me that is… maybe there’s a big football game happening this weekend where you live too!? If so… you should totally make these FOUR ingredient cinnamon almonds that only require like 35 minutes of your day!
YUP. Four ingredients (almonds, water, sugar, and cinnamon) + 35 minutes wooooohoooooo! Though, if you’re making these for a tailgate or party, I’d definitely double/triple/quadruple this recipe so you have enough for everyone because these cinnamon almonds are crazy addictive…
Not only are these cinnamon almonds a great snack or tailgate treat, they would also be a great addition to homemade granola or on top of some delicious oatmeal in the morning. I was also thinking that throwing them inside a breakfast muffin would be awesome-sauce. Basically, the opportunities with these amazing little cinnamon almonds are endless y’all. Endless I say!
So I know this recipe is like super easy but I wrote it out for you anyways… 🙂
- 3 cups raw whole almonds
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- Preheat oven to 300F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Stir almonds, sugar, water, and cinnamon together in a medium sauté pan over medium-low heat; cook for 5 minutes or until almonds are lightly toasted and well coated with cinnamon-sugar, stirring occasionally. Spread almonds in a single layer on the parchment paper lined baking sheet then bake for about 20-30 minutes or until cinnamon sugar coating is dry, tossing almonds half way through baking.
I’m so so so soooo happy it’s Thursday!!! Only one more day of work this week, well besides today… I really need this weekend. Actually, I really need EVERY weekend but this one especially. You feel me?!
OH also, what are you having for dinner tonight? If you don’t have anything planned, you should TOTALLY make my fabulous pumpkin fettuccine alfredo because it only requires like 8 ingredients and 30 minutes… winner winner, pumpkin fettuccine alfredo for dinner!
p.s. these would also make for a fabulous tailgate snack!
