Happy Halloween!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Guess what?! I have a cocktail for youuuuuuuuu. Muahahahahahahahahahaha.
So based on the internet… any cocktail served around Halloween can be called “witches’ brew” (or so that’s what I’ve seen lol). Today, I present to you my version of witches’ brew, which clearly involves champagne because it’s my faveeeeeeeeeee. It also involves two very seasonally appropriate juices… apple cider and pomegranate juice!! Plus a splash of brandy for depth or flavor and splash of ginger beer for a little bite. Top these witches’ brew mimosas off with an apple slice or two plus a drizzle of caramel sauce if you so choose!
I’ll be sipping on these witches’ brew mimosas all Halloween night while passing out candy to trick-or-treaters and eating korean bbq burritos with friends! There also might be some euchre played wooo! How are you celebrating Halloween?! Are you dressing up?! I’m wearing a glow-in-the-dark skeleton onesie tehehe. Are you passing out candy?! Do you have a traditional Halloween night meal!? Do you have any special Halloween cocktails?! Tell me everything! I love hearing about other people’s holiday traditions. Any who, whatever you are doing, you should make these witches’ brew mimosas part of your evening!
Also, don’t limit these mimosas to Halloween. We can rename them fall mimosas after Halloween and then you can sip on them through Thanksgiving… p.s. that’s totally my plan 🙂
witches' brew mimosas (or fall mimosas)
Ingredients
- 5 oz apple cider
- 4 oz pomegranate juice
- 1 oz ginger beer
- 2 oz brandy
- caramel sauce
- 1 bottle champagne
- optional garnish: apple slices, pomegranate seeds, and/or cinnamon
Instructions
Mix up apple cider, pomegranate juice, ginger beer, and brandy in a large measuring cup. Drizzle a little caramel sauce inside each champagne glass then fill them 2/3rds to 3/4ths full of champagne (about 4 oz each). Top off with the apple cider/pom juice/brandy mixture (about 2 oz each). Garnish glasses with apple slices, pomegranate seeds, and/or a sprinkle of cinnamon. ENJOY.
Recipe Notes
You'll note that my caramel sauce is on the outside of the glass... this is purely for the picture. I don't recommend doing that unless you want to clean up a big caramel mess lol.

Hope you all have a fabulous Tuesday and Halloween!!!! Don’t eat too much candy or have tooooo many witches’ brew mimosas… well, unless you don’t have to work tomorrow 😉
If you try this recipe, let me know! Leave a comment or tag a photo #appetitesanonymous on instagram!! I’d love to see your witches’ brew mimosas in action. Happy haunting, friends!
